EMU Australia's initial contribution will help kick start safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects in 19 communities across Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.
In Papua New Guinea, EMU Australia's partnership with WaterAid will impact 16 communities and villages, providing 12 x 1,000 gallon rainwater tanks to the remote villages (one per village) in the West Sepik Province.
Due to environmental, cultural and geologic factors no project is the same and a "one size fits all solution" can not be implemented. EMU Australia supports WaterAid in working towards a long term and sustainable solution together with each community to meet their needs.
